The free nightly sunset festival — artisans, street performers, and the Gulf's best show, 29 years running.
Sunsets at Pier 60 is Clearwater Beach's signature ritual: a free festival that has run nightly for more than 29 years, gathering local artisans, street performers, and everyone on the beach around the pier for the two hours before and after sundown, year-round, weather permitting. Current festival hours run 6 to 10 p.m. in season.
On a wedding weekend it's the built-in answer to the itinerary's hardest slot — the unhosted evening. Guests wander from craft stalls to buskers with ice cream in hand, the sun drops into the Gulf on cue, and nobody paid admission. It's also the sunset your photographer will suggest for day-after portraits; arrive early, the whole beach has the same idea.
