The Clearwater Community Sailing Center is Sand Key's best-kept venue secret: a 501(c)(3) sailing school on the Intracoastal whose Bayview Room and covered Veranda rent for weddings of up to 100 guests (75 comfortably), with Clearwater Bay doing the decorating and dinghies adding texture to the photos. Ceremonies happen on site — bring your own officiant — and the indoor room stands by as the weather answer.
What sets it apart is control: outside caterers are welcome, alcohol can be brought rather than bought, and the pricing is published to the dollar — $3,000 for a 9-to-11 full day or $300 an hour at a three-hour minimum, tables and chairs included and set up by late morning. For a couple with a strong DIY streak and a good caterer's number, it's the coast's most freeing waterfront room.
